Zenaida Balan Chua age 78 of Rancho Cordova, California passed away peacefully on April 19th. Zenaida was born on June 6, 1937 in the Dagupan City, Philipines. The first daughter of Plegunte and Esther Balan. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Manila in Pharmacy. She served as a Pharmacist for 22 years in Western Pangasinan District Hospital in Alaminos, Pangasinan. She moved to the United States in January, 1991 to be with her family. In the United States she worked in health care and a Life Skill Councilor. She retired in 2009 which gave her more time to pursue gardening, reading, art, visiting friends and enjoying food. She loves and treasures her friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Antonio Chua. She is survived by her 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her children are Albert, Nilda, Anthony, Melody and Mylene Deirdre. Her grandchildren are Jasper, Joshua, Zenaida, Daniel, Kristina, Joshua, Annielle, Abbery, Allyssa, Dominick, Leo, and Heather. Her great grandchildren are Hunter, Jhanielle and Allyzea.
