Zakary Kevin McCray

Zakary Kevin McCray was born on June 8, 2005— surprising Kim & Roger by making his entrance at home on the bathroom floor, he was delivered by the fire department!
He was the youngest brother of Kim's two sons, Steven & Nathan, and was Roger's only child.

Sweet, innocent and full of joy, even at birth Zak had a smile and charm that would win the world over. He loved music and as a baby, Elton John's "Your Song" truly was his song—it was the only one that put him to sleep, soothed his tears and comforted him.

Zak loved animals and the family dog Cooper, was his best bud and constant companion. He was fascinated by anything furry and everything that tweeted, meowed, barked or hopped Zak had to hold and love on. It was one of his greatest joys as a youngster.

Zak was such a giving, thoughtful little boy and he made friends everywhere he went. If you didn't find him playing with his friends you could catch him on an adventure with his dad, making special gifts for his mom or playing Halo with his brothers. He loved his family very much. To mom, he was her little Moogey Mook and to dad, his little Tiger.

Zak was filled with the love of Jesus Christ, he loved going to church and building his relationship with our lord and savior. He understood this faith and we will be forever grateful of this gift. We know he is running, jumping, skipping, laughing and joyful now. We know he is happy. Even though our sorrow is deep, we are so grateful to have had him in our lives for the brief, priceless moments we were blessed to share with this beautiful soul here on earth.

Our happy, loving, sweet, silly, inquisitive, handsome, stubborn, funny, little warrior entered into peace on February 18, 2015, quietly in his sleep. He leaves behind family and friends who love him deeply and who will always remember our golden haired angel boy, Zak. Rest in peace little man, we love you.
