William Gabriel "Willie" Peterson

William Gabriel "Willie" Peterson, 46, of Roseville, passed away unexpectedly at home on December 15, 2015.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Bell Road Baptist Church, 707 Bell Road, Auburn, CA on Saturday, January 16, 2015 at 1pm with Pastor Craig Kelley of Gold Country Church officiating. A reception will follow immediately after.

William was born in Pensacola, Florida on August 13, 1969. His family moved to California where he attended several foothill area High Schools, then he moved back to Florida, graduating there in 1988. During a visit home in 1989, he met Sylvia (Brewer) and they married in June 1991 in Auburn, CA. He worked in the fiber-optic telecommunications industry for over 25 years, beginning as a laborer building the fiber-optic network backbone across the United States and working his way to Project Engineer for the Central California and Las Vegas, NV regions with CenturyLink Telecommunications. He was a caring individual who cherished time with family, dedicated many years to leading the pre-teens and Jr. Highers in his church and loved to chaperone school field trips with his kids. He served on the Northern California Operation Christmas Child team as the Community Relations Coordinator, and most recently, was active in the Northern California Tres Dias community.

William is preceded in death by his birth father and grandparents.

William is survived by his wife, Sylvia; three children, Ashleigh, William "Willis", and Brittney (Larson/MacKenzie); brother, Jonathan Sutter and sister, Alecia (Jonathan) Kuhn; parents, Daniel and Ingrid Sutter; and innumerable extended family and friends.
