Tony III was born to Tony and Esther Vigil on September 10, 1988. He joined the family which already included his sisters, Jennifer and Janelle. Soon after he was joined by his baby sister, Sabrina, which completed our family of 6.
Tony was an easy baby to raise because his imagination kept himself entertained. A vivid reminder of this is when Tony dressed as Santa Clause using his Dad's boots, toilet paper for cuffs and cotton for a beard and eyebrows.
As a youth, Tony played many sports. Soccer, baseball, basketball and wrestling, which really boosted his self esteem.
Tony was active in Church as he completed the Sacraments of Baptism, Catechism, and Confirmation. He was also an Altar Boy for several years.
As a student, he was a honor roll student excelling in the subjects of Math and Algebra which came easy for him. A highlight for Tony in his Senior year is when Channel 10 recognized him as The Student of the Month for his work as a Los Hermanos Mentor.
Tony was most proud to become an Uncle to Petey and Dylan Knell.
Growing up Tony and his family enjoyed travelling to many places which included Hawaii, Disney World, Disney Land, The Grand Canyon, Las Vegas/Hoover Dan, Colorado, Oregon and countless camping trips.
When growing up, if Tony was a Care Bear he would have been known as the "Tender-Hearted Bear". He was passive like his Mother. His social skills displayed early as a child as we quickly learned, Tony knew more people than we did!
These social skills lead him to many friends that found him dependable and kind enough to give a ride at all hours when someone got off work late.
As these friends soon learned, his friendship came at a cost, which lead to them being the butt of Tony's practical jokes, which there were many as we know and have come to learn! If you don't believe me, ask the person next to you. I am sure they will share a story!
Tony had a passion for the outdoors, fishing, hiking and quading. This led to his passion for bird hunting.
Tony acquired a strong work ethic like his Father, which lead to his first job at the age of 15 at Lupita's Mexican Restaurant. For the past 7 years, Tony worked at Raleys', starting as a Bagger and transitioning to become a Manager.
Tony will be missed by his Grandfather Tony Sr, for which he was named, Grandmothers Dolores and Jackie, Brother-in-Law's Pete Knell and Kyle McLeod, Aunts and Uncles Chris & Ken, Henry, Debbie & John, Joaquin, Cheri & Tim, Bonnie & Brian (Godparents), numerous cousins , his Fiancé Ariel and countless friends and acquaintances.
