Teresa Mary Habra

Teresa Mary Habra, a cherished mother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 12, 2024 at her own home in Newcastle. She was born on September 12, 1948 in Sacramento, CA, the second of 5 children.  Her father was in the air force and the family traveled extensively through her early childhood.  She lived in Cleveland, Arizona, Washington, DC, and Newfoundland, Canada, to name a few.

Throughout her life, Teresa created a legacy of support and encouragement for her loved ones. She will be remembered for the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. From instilling the value of education and hard work by encouraging good grades to nurturing talent and creativity through support for school activities, Teresa's influence knew no bounds.

Teresa's warm and welcoming personality shone through in everything she did. Her fierce independence was matched only by her exceptional skills as a hostess.  There wasn’t a person that didn’t feel warm and welcomed by her. Teresa's home was always a beacon of hospitality and tidiness, where guests were welcomed with open arms. She took great pride in creating a cozy atmosphere during holidays and family gatherings.

Apart from her dedication to her family, Teresa found joy in various hobbies and interests. Whether she was engrossed in a good book, crafting stained glass masterpieces, tending to her garden or showcasing her prized collies, Teresa's passion was evident in all aspects of her life.

One of Teresa's proudest accomplishments was owning and operating Kirkwood Collies, her very own kennel that reflected her love for collies and excellence in breeding. Her commitment to this endeavor showcased her hard work and determination.

Teresa Mary Habra is survived by her loving children Diana Rotheneder and Henry Habra, as well as her sisters Mary Zinchiak and Monica Zinchiak. In their time of grief, may they find solace in the memories of a wonderful woman who touched the hearts of many.

In honoring Teresa's life and legacy, let us remember her for the love she shared, the lessons she imparted, and the light she brought into the world. She will be deeply missed but forever treasured in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Rest in peace, Teresa.
