Stuart McKinnon Ripley

Stuart McKinnon Ripley passed peacefully on May 10, 2025 at the age of 94. 

He was born July 28, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri and later his family moved to Berkeley, California. He became an Eagle Scout, a two-sport letterman in high school and later attended the University of Redlands. From there he joined the Navy and rapidly achieved the rank of Lt. Commander. After his discharge, he completed his MBA at the University of California, Berkeley. He then entered a long Sales and Marketing career in Real Estate as an Executive and Broker. 

During this time, he met his wife Lynn and they were married in 1964. They went on to own a luxury linen store in La Jolla, California. Upon retirement, they moved to Sun City Lincoln Hills in Lincoln, California to be near their family. 

Stuart is survived by his sons, Bruce MacDiarmid and Kent MacDiarmid along with their spouses, 8 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
