A dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shirley’s warmth radiated through every aspect of her life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Shirley's journey began in Spokane, but her family soon moved to California, where she would meet her soulmate, Earl, in 1963 at a church in Sacramento. Their love blossomed into a beautiful marriage in 1965 in West Virginia, setting the foundation for a partnership that would last for an incredible 60 years. It was a union grounded in faith, love, and mutual respect, a testament to the bond they shared throughout their lives together.
As parents, Shirley and Earl welcomed three wonderful children into the world: Ty in 1967, Tammy in 1968, and Bryan in 1972. Their home was filled with laughter, love, and the echoes of their children's adventures. Over the years, the family would traverse between Chicago and California, each move marking a new chapter filled with memories. In 1977, they chose California as their permanent residence, purchasing their first home in Citrus Heights in 1978. Shirley would later fulfill a long-held dream by acquiring her beloved home in Roseville in 2000.
Shirley was not only a devoted homemaker but also an inspiring business woman. Between 1994 and 2004, she embarked on a venture with her sons, stepping into the role of retail manager. Her engaging nature and friendly demeanor made her a favorite among loyal customers who cherished their interactions with her, bringing the same warmth to her professional life that she did to her family.
Her family was her pride and joy. Shirley is survived by her three children: Ty, Tammy, and Bryan; her five grandchildren: Tiffany, Megan, Brittney, Brody, and Brandon; and her six great-grandchildren: Adeline, Bella, Gracie, Aramis, Amos, and Alfred. She also leaves behind her son-in-law Dan, daughter-in-laws Kristen and Kristy, and grandson-in-law Liviu, all of whom were touched by her love and influence.
Shirley’s life was a tapestry woven with love, faith, and commitment. Her profound belief in God served as a guiding light, inspiring those around her to follow in her footsteps. The special bond she cultivated with her family will be remembered and cherished by each of them for years to come.
As they gather to celebrate her remarkable life, her family takes solace in knowing that Shirley will be missed greatly, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate in their hearts.
