Sharon Ann Williams 🌹
January 14, 1949 – July 25, 2024
Sharon (aka Sherrey) Ann Williams passed away peacefully in her Rancho Cordova, CA home on July 25, 2024 at the age of 75. Sherrey was a dedicated oncology nurse for 41 years graduating with her RN in 1970 and retiring from Kaiser in 2011. Sherrey took a 9-month hiatus from nursing to become an aesthetician specializing in making women feel beautiful with pretty nails. Despite building a great clientele in a short period of time, Sherrey ultimately heeded her calling to nursing -- a profession that she said gave her the "best gift imaginable."
According to Sherrey, “Nursing is the best occupation I’ve had. I was meant to be a nurse. You have to figure out why you want to become a nurse. You are rewarded ten-fold for being a nurse.”
She was known for her vast capacity to care for others, her fiery spirit, sharp sense of humor, and keeping everyone around her on their toes.
Sherrey was born in Oakland, CA to parents Harry Wesley Roff and Geraldine Bertha Roff who later moved to Meadow Vista, CA where Sherrey spent most of her childhood along with her only sibling, older sister Nancy Jean.
She was a lover of pups, tennis, sunshine, crazy colorful socks, trips to Mexico, fancy face cream, her family of friends, and always having picture-perfect polished nails.
She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Geraldine Roff, her husband James (Jimmy) Williams, and her daughter Kelly Williams. She has now gone home to be with the family that is waiting for her.
Feisty, stubborn, opinionated, speaker of truths, giver of nicknames, confidante, colorful, loving, generous, caring, funny…RIP Aunty Sher.
To celebrate her life, we invite her family of friends and clinical cohorts to make a memorial donation in her honor to one of the causes Sherrey supported. Please use the links below to contribute to causes close to her heart:
