Sharon Lee Korner

November 23, 1940 — June 3, 2015

Sharon Korner was born and grew up in Yreka, California, on November 23, 1940. While attending Yreka High School, she was a member of the California Scholarship Federation, and graduated with the Class of 1958. She then received her Nursing training at St. Mary's Help Hospital. When Sharon married Ron Korner in 1988, they blended their families of four children, Sharon's sons, Dan and Jeff Scott, and Ron's daughters, Kerry and Julie.

While residing with her family in Union City, California, she was employed by James Logan High School as their Registrar. After moving with Ron to Nevada County, she became active in the recycling program.

Sharon enjoyed traveling to many places in the world, most recently visits to Costa Rica, Panama, and the Panama Canal. She loved digital photography which was enhanced by the beautiful photos she took during her travels. She also enjoyed hiking, skiing, backpacking, exchanging dinners with good friends, and special date nights with her husband, Ron.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Ron Korner; her four children: Kerry West, Dan Scott, Julie Cryer and Jeff Scott; four grandchildren: Anthony West, Tiffany Gerard, Casey Cryer, and Jennifer Scott; and four great grandchildren: Azarias West, Maylee Gerard, Emily Scott and Hunter Scott.
