Shana Janae Manlopig-Ontai was granted her angel wings on Tuesday, October 27th, 2020, in Roseville, California.
Shana was born February 25, 1977, in Palo Alto, California, at Stanford Hospital. She lived in Redwood City as a young girl, and moved to Newark, California, in the third grade. Shana's family relocated to Fremont, California, where she attended American High School. She studied nursing at the California State University, San Bernardino Palm Desert Campus where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in the science of nursing in 2014. Shana worked as a dermatology nurse with Kaiser in Roseville, California.
Shana married Anthony Ontai on August 3, 2013, and together they have four beautiful children and one granddaughter who were the center of her universe. Shana loved deeply and cared immensely for others. She lived life to the fullest. She accomplished more in her 43 years than some do in 100 years. She is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, Aunt, friend, and Nurse. Her smile illuminated any room she entered. Shana was a problem solver, a thinker, a faithful Catholic, and always put others before herself. Her career as a nurse fulfilled her desire to help others. She was a truly beautiful soul inside and out.
Shana is survived by her husband Anthony Ontai, their four children Lylah Ontai, Elijah Ontai, Angelique Perez, and Isaiah Ontai; and granddaughter Aaliyah Ruelas. Shana is also survived by her Mother Laura Gordillo, Fathers Reuben Manlopig and Jim Gordillo; Brothers Taylor Gordillo, Troy Gordillo and Josh Manlopig; Mother and Father-in-law Guy and Linda Ontai; Grandparents Concha Sommers, Lincoln Ontai, Catherine and Raul Morales; and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
