Roy pursued a successful career as an Operations Manager in the technical field, operating primarily in Lincoln and Roseville, California, until his well-deserved retirement in 2016. His educational journey began at Cordova High School in Rancho Cordova, where he laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and commitment.

A proud Sargent in the U.S. Marines, Roy often credited his military service as instrumental in shaping the man he became. His time in service instilled in him discipline and resilience, traits that he carried throughout his life and shared with his loved ones.

Family was the cornerstone of Roy's existence. He is survived by his beloved wife, Yvette, and his cherished daughter, Kaitlyn. He also leaves behind a legacy of joy and love through his grandchildren, Sammy, Eliza, Chente, Virgil, and Antonio, who brought immense happiness to his life. Roy's proudest accomplishments were being a husband, father, and Opa, roles he cherished deeply.

Roy's passions were varied, but he particularly loved building Jeeps and working on projects in his garage. He found solace in woodworking and heartily enjoyed cooking and eating his favorite foods. Among his fondest memories were rock crawling in the Rubicon, sharing laughter that made him the life of any party, and the cherished tradition of making schnitzel on Christmas Eve—activities that highlighted his zest for life.

In his final days, Roy displayed remarkable strength and determination, surrounded by the love of his family. He fought valiantly against many health obstacles over the past eight years, remaining steadfast and sober for the last 13 months of his life. Roy chose to face the end on his terms, embodying the spirit of a true fighter until the very end.

Though he has been welcomed into the arms of his parents, Bobby and Anne Marie Williams, who predeceased him, Roy's legacy lives on in the hearts of those he touched. His wonderful sense of humor and ability to find positivity in every situation will be remembered fondly by all.
