Rosalie "Rosie" Smith Meadows was born on December 11, 1942, in Beach City, Ohio, to Paul and Helen Smith. She had one sister. Rosalie relocated several times during her adult years, providing an opportunity for her to experience life in New Jersey, Maryland and Illinois.
Rosie received her nursing degree from Massillon School of Nursing, Massillon, Ohio. She was dedicated to caring for people's medical needs as a Registered Nurse for 44 years with a specialty in OB/GYN. Oh, how she loved hearing the cry of a newborn! She worked at various hospitals across the country.
Rosie met the love of her life, Patrick Meadows, in 1972, in Lombard, Illinois. They were married in April 1973 in Beach City, Ohio. They relocated to Maryland and Illinois, finally settling in Roseville, California. They had one child, Jenifer Lynn Meadows, born in 1979.
Rosie and Patrick enjoyed many trips to destinations across the USA, including Kentucky, San Antonio, and Niagara Falls. Their travels also included the Erie Canal.
The recent tragic death of her daughter, Jenifer, in 2019, had a huge emotional impact on Rosie.
On March 6, 2021, Rosie passed quietly in her home. She is survived by her husband, Patrick Meadows of Roseville, California, and her sister Sandra Kay Smith of Mentor, Ohio.
Rosie will always be remembered by friends and family as a caring nurse and beloved friend.
