Dr. Roberto “Bing” Herbano Ventura was born on February 26, 1951 in Buluan Maguindanao, Philippines. He was the eighth of eleven children to Dr. Cipriano Ventura and Maria Herbano. He is survived by his beloved wife
Dr. Llewellyn, his son Reece (Rodina) Ventura, and his daughters Maria Isabel (Raymonn) De Jesus and Lisa (Kellan) Mayberry. He was a wonderful Papa to eight grandchildren, Rheani (Brody), Rhylie, Ryan, Reece Jr., Joaquin, Andres, Levi, Blake, and great grandson Raidyn -Bronx.
He is survived by his siblings Ermelo (Lota) Ventura, Romulo (Fannie) Ventura, Rodolfo (Zurida) Ventura, Dr. Maria Fe Estores, Nora (Enrico) Fernando and Dr. Ricardo Ventura. He is preceded in death by brothers Cipriano (Caning), Teodorico (Dr. Emma), Dr. Benjamin (Nicet), and Drs. Delfin (Virgie) Ventura.
Roberto received his Bachelors degree in Natural Science from Ateneo de Davao University and Doctor of Medicine from MHAM Southwestern University. He was a surgical resident at Davao Medical Center from 1979-1982. He owned and operated an assisted living facility until his retirement in 2016.
He dedicated his life to serving the community with the Sacramento Maharlika Lions Club. He was a Melvin Jones Fellow and past president of the Maharlika Lions Club and the Northern California Lions Sight Association. He chaired the club’s medical missions to the Philippines. He was a great man that has made an impact on many lives.
