Richard Arnold Cunningham

Richard Arnold Cunningham, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, October 11th, 2022, at home with his wife Maryann and his two daughters Regina and Denise by his side.

Richard was born May 25th, 1945, in Vallejo California. He was married to his lovely wife Maryann for 54 wonderful years. They had three beautiful children Daniel, Regina, and Denise.

He joined the military in 1964 right out of high school and served for 23 years in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant. Soon after retirement from the military, he began his 20-career as a correctional officer with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

He loved playing racket ball and teaching his grandkids to swim. He also enjoyed playing old records like “The Stray Cats,” which he played often.

Toward the end of his life, he was in much pain but never complained. He always had a smile and always said he loved you.

He will be greatly missed.
