Paula Henning was born in Yakima, Washington, on November 26, 1951. She lived in the Pacific Northwest for the early part of her life, enjoying the life of one grandparent’s cabin on Pend Oreille Lake in Idaho and another grandparent’s bakery in the Palouse area of eastern Washington In 1967, she moved with family to Sacramento, California. She attended Hiram Johnson High School and graduated in 1970. She later attended American River Junior College to attain her Associates Degree. After graduation, she applied to work for the State of California. Paula finished her 40 years of service for California in the Department of Health Services.
She loved to snow ski, sew and do needle work. She remained connected to her mother and father while she lived in Elk Grove, California. When her father passed away and her mother required help caring for her brother as a result of a motorcycle accident, Paula moved into her mother’s home to assist. Paula moved into her own house when free from the responsibility of caregiving.
Unfortunately Paula passed away unexpectedly the day after Christmas after living in her new home for only five months. Paula is preceded in death by father Richard, mother Virginia, sister Joyce, brother John, and cousin Kathy Krenz. She is survived by her brother Bruce and his family, wife Janine, niece Janae Tovar, nephews Sam Henning and Joel Henning.
