Miguel “Mike” Pascual was born on September 29th, 1937, in Hilo, Hawaii, and passed away peacefully on February 1st, 2022, in Rocklin, California.
Mike graduated from Hilo High School and entered the U.S. Army after high school. Upon completing his military service, he moved to California where he met his wife, Hilda Collazo. He later graduated with degrees from San Jose State University and Santa Clara University. After graduating, he began his 32-year career as a teacher.
His hobbies included photography, camping, spending time with family and international travel. For many years he loved to make annual trips to Hawaii to visit his siblings and family to show his Aloha (Love).
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Keyes, and son-in-law, Brady Keyes of Rocklin, California , and grandchildren Brandon and Mikaila; his longtime companion Julie Padayhag of Oahu; Nicole Collazo of Wyoming and her children Brittani and Brianna. He will also be dearly missed by his surviving siblings, Natividad “Nora” Lariosa, Adelaide “Alice” Duyao, and Francisca “Francis” Naiga, and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife Hilda Collazo, sisters, Diosdada “Doris” Dagona, Genoveva “Janet” Duyao, Emcerna “Emma” Aperto, and Rosita Lucero.
