Michael James Barranti was born in San Leandro, CA, to parents James R. Barranti and Gloria A. Borley. He was raised in San Jose, CA and graduated from Leland High School in 1994.
Michael had this uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcomed and accepted. He was present and engaged during conversations and loved to laugh. He led a life with courage, strength, and optimism, even when faced with difficulties. Michael was passionate about the 49ers football team, his favorite television shows, keeping up with the latest movies, along with some friendly chatter with family and friends, especially on game day.
Michael is survived by his mother, Gloria, who never gave up and unconditionally cared for her son to his last breath, and stepfather, David Borley. To his beloved sisters, Laurie Barranti-Teague and brother-in-law Matthew Teague, Jill Klemens and brother-in-law Anton Klemens III, nephew Griffin Teague, niece Alyssa Teague, godparents uncle Richard and aunt Mary Frances Barranti, uncles Richard Lopez, Steven Barranti and Gary Barranti, aunts Sally Lopez and Kirsten Barranti, and to his cousins whom Michael would say, “Hey, cuz.”
Michael is preceded in death by his father, James R. Barranti, and his grandparents, Anthony and Louise
Barranti & Frank and Ann Lopez.
