Merle Andrew Amos passed away on December 26th, 2022, with his loved ones at his side. He was 85 years of age. He was born on April 8th, 1937 in Leechburg, Pennsylvania to Andrew J. Amos and Edna M. Amos. As a youth, he moved to Billings, Montana, and then to Sunnyvale, California, in the mid 1960s where he studied Business Administration at the University of San Francisco and became a business owner and contractor. Later in life, he worked as a construction estimator and consultant.
Merle’s passions included windsurfing, fishing, camping, photography, and volleyball. He also served as International Director and Board Member of PWP. In 2003, he moved to Auburn, California where he was an active member of the Newcomers Club and Auburn Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his partner Carolyn Cox, daughter Joy Amos, son Leigh Amos, brother Robert Amos and many dear friends.
Celebration of Life Service to be scheduled.
