Our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend passed away on October 29, 2016 surrounded by her family. Mary Helen was born on September 7, 1923 to Gilbert Aubele and Josephine (Holt) Aubele, in Braddock PA. She was one of four children. Her brothers Gilbert Jr. & Regis are deceased. She went on to study as a nurse under the Catholic Sisters and graduated from Seton Hill College in Greensburg, PA in 1945. She then ventured out to San Francisco California to pursue her nursing career. While there she met and married her husband Joseph Bustabade on June 14, 1947. Over the years they had nine children. Mom continued to work part-time as a RN always in the Nursery. She loved the babies all the way up to the end. In 1955 they moved from San Francisco to Sunnyvale. Then when Joseph retired they moved to Citrus Heights in 1977 She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1986, and her son John in 2010. After her retirement and Joseph's death mom loved being surrounded by her family especially at holidays and family gatherings. She was devoted to her family and Holy Family Parish and spent many of her hours attending services and volunteering her time and energy. She made many friends at Holy Family. We couldn't have asked for a better mother, grandmother or great-grandmother. She will truly be missed, but always in our hearts and prayers. The family would like to thank our caregivers and all of the staff from Bristol Hospice for the love, compassion and care they have given Mary the last two years.
