Maria Luchi Ramos Contreras

MARIA LUCHI RAMOS CONTRERAS was born on February 19, 1959 in Capiz, Philippines, the second of five children. She was a devout Catholic, dedicating her time to prayer, Catholic organizations, and being an embodiment of what it means to live like Christ. She was a member of the Brotherhood of Christian Businessmen and Professionals and several other Bible Study groups. She would testify on her strong faith and helped spread the Word. She sponsored the education of seminarians and supported the Catholic Church.

To her ‘God is not only loving but LOVE himself, not only kind, but Kindness Himself, not only generous but Generosity Himself’.  She always praised and worship God most especially when she was in pain.

Maria Luchi was always family oriented, always enjoying her time with her siblings, cousins, nephews, and niece. Whenever the family needed her to help, she was always there. She regularly visited the United States to help care for her parents, attend family reunions and see friends. She would not hesitate to show love to everyone every chance she got.

Her big-heartedness went beyond family, as she would willingly help those in need. She would also raise funds, do garage sales and donate the proceeds to the poor.

Maria Luchi loved to travel and to live a carefree life. She also loved gardening. She enjoyed being in people’s company and having a great laugh. Maria Luchi was blessed with so many loving friends. She always found the good in everyone she was surrounded by, and always kept a positive attitude. She will be dearly missed by those who know here. She is survived by her 95-year old mother and four (4) siblings.

In one of hers posts, she wrote “Thank you God for giving me the grace to finish the race”
