Lorene Margaret Francesconi, was born in San Francisco, CA on January 2, 1955, the third daughter of Marion and Lawrence Francesconi. One of five children, she was raised in San Francisco and Daly City, then moved to Belmont, CA at 8 years old, where she attended Notre Dame Elementary and Notre High School.
A shy child, she soon developed a group of close friends and became the vibrant, life-loving person we all came to know. Her ability to tell a story or joke was amazing, and her laugh was unsurpassed. Her teenage years were full of fun!
Lorene’s skills and interests were truly diverse. She worked for many years as an administrator in the insurance industry and was a valued addition to those companies. She was also an excellent homemaker, a seamstress, an avid gardener, exceptional cook, creative artist and crafter, and was knowledgeable on many subjects, including politics. She was a very creative recycler, way ahead of her time. Her gifts were often hand made and cherished by the lucky receivers. Lorene could repair or restore almost anything and could also play the piano.
Family ties meant a lot to Lorene and she did a lot of research on our family heritage which enriched us all.
Over 37 years ago, Lorene met the love of her life, Gary Moore. Together they carved out a comfortable loving life that included being a stepmom and grandmother, roles that Lolly truly cherished. Lorene and her husband, Gary, moved to their dream home three years ago from San Bruno to a golf course in Lincoln, CA. They were truly happy in retirement. Her gardening and decorating skills were evident as was her contentment.
Lorene is survived by her loving and caring husband of 37 years, Gary, her stepsons, Brian and Dan, and their families. She will truly be missed by her loving siblings, Dede, Mary, Dino and Tony, her aunts and uncles, and cousins. “Auntie Lolly” will always hold a place in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews as well.
The sadness of Lorene’s untimely passing is felt by all who knew her. While words cannot adequately express our sorrow, we will ever be blessed by hearing the rebounding sound of her infectious laugh. Keep on laughing, Lolly!
