Leonard Faucett 1929 ~ 2018 Leonard Elmo Faucett, age 89, passed away December 1, 2018. He was born August 4, 1929 in Bixby, Oklahoma to Marinda and Thomas R. Riley. Leonard is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Leona Faucett. He has joined our lord and savior and rests with his son, Rick Faucett and sisters, Gladys and Dortha Dean and brother, Ray Faucett.
Leonard had a passion for carpentry, and his family. His hands were rarely still, avidly building a new beautiful piece. It suited his creative heart. He was a very sweet man, which was ironic because he had an allergy to sugar. His favorite place to visit was Austria, the region was full of beautiful country side. His favorite movie, Doctor Zhivago, was watched often. The music brought back memories from his childhood, living during the depression. He spoke of living in North Fork often, with many memories of family and friends. When I hear the saying, "Do what's right and do what's good; be kind and help others," I can picture my grandfather reciting the words. In 1961, Leonard received sole custody of his four children, who he raised independently until he met his true love Leona Bender. He was all that was good and kind. His life was a living example of his favorite bible verse, John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. He always thought of others and loved his family very much.
Leonard is survived by his wife Leona, his son Rod Faucett, daughter and husband Julia and Dan Faccenetti, daughter and husband Janet and Paul Sacca. Brother and wife Henry and Arlene Faucett, Grandchildren, Dallas and husband Matt Buchholz, Amber and husband Nathan Eby, Misty Sacca, Lindsay and husband Mark Stevens, Jacqueline Martine, Amy and husband Jerry Sharp, and Ricky Faucett plus 7 great grandchildren, Tyler, Avery, and Leeann Martine, Ryan Sacca, Abigail and Kahler Sharp and Mitchell Faucett. All of these he loved and touched deeply.
