**Obituary for Lauren Keith Keller**

A gentle soul, a loving husband, a devoted father, and a true family member and friend, Lauren Keith Keller received his wings on April 30, 2024. Born on February 17, 1952, in Auburn, CA, to his parents Mary and Wayne Keller, Lauren's life was marked by an unwavering commitment to his loved ones.

Lauren's journey through life was diverse and rich. From his early days at Gridley High School to bravely joining the U.S. Navy at the age of 18 to serve in the Vietnam War, he always carried himself with grace and determination. His service as a nuclear welder during the war shaped him into a proud veteran who cherished the stories of his time in the service.

A man of many talents, Lauren excelled in various fields throughout his life. Starting as an expert welder, then moving into the construction industry and later transitioning into HVAC mechanics and plumbing, he showcased an unmatched ability to troubleshoot and fix anything that came his way. Yet, beyond his professional expertise, Lauren possessed a unique gift for counseling and comforting those in need. Lauren often said he was a "Jack of all trades, and master of none. Specialization is for insects." That was his favorite saying and something he passed on to his son who is now the same way.

Family was at the heart of everything Lauren did. An adventurous spirit, he often took his loved ones, and mostly his son, Dustin, fishing and camping, exploring new horizons together. His infectious energy lit up karaoke nights with laughter and dance moves that brought joy to all around him. Dustin was particularly close to his heart, and Lauren's proudest accomplishment lay in enabling Dustin to pursue his passions with unwavering support.

Lauren's artistic flair shone through his drawings and meticulously crafted motorized models. His love for flyfishing earned him the endearing nickname "Frog Man," capturing moments of pure happiness spent on tranquil lakes.

In the face of adversity, Lauren remained strong and resilient. Struggling with COPD due to his time as a nuclear welder in the Navy, he faced each challenge with courage. It was pneumonia that eventually claimed him, but not without leaving behind a legacy of compassion and strength.

As Lauren transcends into eternity, he is reunited with his mother, Mary, father, Wayne Keller, oldest brother, Marlin, and brother-in-law Mickey Johnston - watching over those he cherished from above. He leaves behind a loving wife Julie Keller; their son Dustin Keller and family - Gabrielle (Gabby) and Khiva; sister Jennifer Wynfield; her husband Roger Wynfield; nephew Sean Martin; niece Jakelle Martin; great-nephews Logan and Loxley; along with brothers Jeff and Greg Keller - remembering him fondly.

In every laugh shared, every lesson taught, and every moment of love given freely - Lauren Keith Keller's spirit lives on as a beacon of warmth and kindness in our hearts forevermore.

Rest in peace our dear Lauren.
