Kent Nhat Tran

May 14, 1965 — August 25, 2020

Kent Nhat Tran was born on May 14, 1965, in Hai Phong, Vietnam, to Tran K. Thu and Hong N. Ha.

Kent moved to the United States as a young adult in 1980. He first lived in Washington State, then relocated to Arizona, finally settling in Sacramento, California.

In May 1994, he became a father to his first child, a daughter he named Denise. In 1999, his welcomed his first son, Benjamin. Then in January 2015 his second son, Louis was born. Later that year in December, his youngest child, Ethan, completed his family of four children. He was a dedicated father, providing a loving home and caring role model for his family.

Kent loved to go fishing. As his son, Benjamin grew, Kent taught him to fish like a pro! They especially loved fishing on their little jon boat at Eightmile Lake in Washington State.

Kent's career was in the food industry. He started off working at TnT Bakery in Sacramento which was owned by his family. Eventually he opened his own business, Kent Seafood, transporting seafood to locations in the Sacramento area including Vinh Phat Supermarket, SF Supermarket, and several restaurants.

Kent was kindhearted and caring toward everyone he encountered, making sure his many friends were well taken care of. He leaves behind many people who loved him dearly.

His children sincerely share this sentiment, "Dad, we know your guiding hand is on our shoulders, and you will remain with us forever. We love you."
