Julia Virginia Ondarts, passed away at the age of 92. She was born on June 28, 1931, and left this world on November 27, 2023, in Roseville, California.

Julia was born in Lima, Peru, on  June 28, 1931, to Genaro and Josephine Celis.  She grew up with 5 siblings: Esther, Victor, Ana, Alfonso and Luis.  Her parents brought their family to San Francisco where they lived in the Sunset District of San Francisco which was located between the SF Zoo and the Cliff House. Her life was full of love, joy, and cherished memories that will forever be treasured by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Julia was employed by the San Francisco Unified School District where she dedicated countless years to shaping young minds and nurturing future leaders. Her passion for education was unwavering, and she touched the lives of so many students who were fortunate enough to have her guidance. Julia's dedication to her profession was commendable and serves as an inspiration to all who endeavor to make a difference in the lives of others.

Outside of her professional life, Julia had a profound love for creating beautiful jewelry and floral arrangements which she sold. Her artistic talent shone through every piece she crafted, leaving a lasting impression on all those fortunate enough to receive one of her creations. She poured her heart into each design, infusing them with love and creativity.

Travel was also a great source of joy for Julia. Exploring both Europe and South America allowed her to experience different cultures firsthand. Whether it was wandering through the charming streets of Paris or standing in awe before ancient ruins in Peru, Julia's adventurous spirit knew no bounds. Her travels enriched her life and left indelible memories that she held close to her heart. Remaining on her bucket list of places to visit were the British Isles, Scandinavia, and Switzerland.

Julia is survived by an adoring family who will forever cherish their memories together. She is reunited with her loved ones who left before her; her father Gennaro Celis, mother Josephine Celis, husband Ted Ondarts, sister Esther Evangelista, brother Victor Celis, and daughter Elizabeth Franceschi. Julia's legacy lives on through her daughters Elizabeth, Carmen and Michelle and her husband Al, who have been blessed to inherit her strength, kindness, and unwavering love. Her grandchildren Christopher, Stephen, Gina, Charlize, Mehrin, and Anjalee hold dear the precious moments spent with their adoring grandmother. The laughter, wisdom, and unconditional love she bestowed upon them will forever be etched in their hearts. Julia was further blessed with great-grandchildren Dean and Landon, who brought immeasurable joy into her life.
