Juanita Caballero

Juanita Caballero, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025. She was born on February 16, 1946, in Madrid, Spain. She lived in Madrid with her parents and was the youngest of seven children. As a young teenager, she moved to America.

Juanita first made her home in Stockton, California, where she lived with her beloved tía, Juana, and uncle. On June 12, 1965, she married the love of her life, Raymond Caballero, and they moved to Redwood City together. There, they welcomed their cherished son, Rene Caballero, who would become the center of their world. She enjoyed working as an aide at the elementary school near their home.

Juanita came to enjoy Raymond’s Basque culture and was involved in the San Francisco Basque Cultural Women’s Club activities. In 2004, she moved to Roseville to be closer to her son and her treasured grandchildren, Amaia and Anthony. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren. In her pastime, she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, listening to Spanish music, and spending time with friends.

Juanita is preceded in death by her husband (Raymond), her son (Rene), her parents (Enrique and Francisca), her aunt (Juana), and her uncle (Gus). Juanita is survived by her loving grandchildren (Amaia and Anthony); her daughter-in-law (Rose Marie); her nieces (Rosemary and Fred), and niece (Paqui); and many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close.

A funeral service to honor Juanita’s life will be held at 11:00 am on December 16, 2025, at SS. Peter and Paul Church, 4450 Granite Drive, Rocklin, CA 95677. Juanita will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her vibrant cultural pride, and the gentle joy she brought to all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
