John Paul Greenly, a man known for his sharp wit, big heart, and unwavering devotion to his family, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025 at the age of 71. His laughter, kindness, and larger-than-life presence will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was the proud father of six sons—three by birth David (Katie), Michael (Jessica), Matthew and three by love Big Dave, Gary (Whitney), Chris (Jessica)—and took immense joy in watching them grow into strong, compassionate men. To all of his grandchildren, (Hannah, Ella, Jack, Taylor, Tyrus, Blake, Avery, Zoey, Jacob, Jackson, Kallum) he was not just thier grandfather, but their Papa - a storyteller, a jokester, a hero, and a soft place to land.

John is survived by the love of his life, Patti, his constant companion and greatest blessing. Together for the last 20 years, they built a life filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love.

He leaves behind not just a family of blood, but a family of heart—many who may not share his last name but shared his love. Whether cracking a joke to lighten the mood or offering a listening ear, John had a gift for making people feel seen and loved. Being in the car business for over 50 years, he didn’t just sell cars—he built relationships, made people laugh, and left lasting impressions. He lived his life with humor, humility, and a heart full of grace. Reminding us all not to take life too seriously, and to love with everything we’ve got.

He will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever.

Services will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:00 am at Destiny Christian Church in Rocklin. A celebration of life gathering will immediately follow the service. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend.
