Jean Louise Conlon, 89, of Lincoln, CA died peacefully on September 28, 2021 surrounded by her family. Jean was born on December 6, 1931 in Philadelphia, PA to parents James and Nellie Connelly and was the youngest of 6 children. She was raised in the Germantown section of Philadelphia and attended Germantown schools.
Her professional career included roles in banking and retail sectors, and she was a homemaker for many years.
She was the loving wife of Bernie Conlon, Sr., whom she married in 1951 in the City of Brotherly Love. They were happily married for 63 years, until his passing in January 2015. They resided in Runnemede, NJ for 61 of those years and then relocated to Lincoln, CA in 2012. Jean was the loving mother of her son, Bernie Conlon Jr. of Huntersville, NC and her daughter, Janice Fett (John) of Lincoln, CA. She was loved and adored by 4 grandchildren, Joe, Megan, Jenna and Ryan, 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Jean enjoyed attending all the family gatherings and celebrations over the years.
In addition to the love of her family she was thrilled to take frequent trips to both Atlantic City and California casinos. She was a master of slot machines and pleased whenever she left with "their money" (her words). She was always entertaining to talk to with her theories and philosophies of life. No doubt she could make you laugh, including strangers she had just met. She loved to read, crochet, do word puzzles and Sudoku to pass the time, and her IPAD was always close by to check her Facebook account daily to keep up with all the family news.
We'll forever miss her advice on life, her infectious laugh, and generosity towards all people.
The family will receive friends at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel 6920 Destiny Drive Rocklin, CA from 10:00am-11:15am on Wednesday October 6, 2021. Interment will take place immediately following at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery Dixon, CA.
