James Stanley Davy

October 21, 1948 — March 24, 2014

James (Jim) Stanley Davy was born in Long Beach California October 21, 1948 to Doris and Stan Davy. He is survived by his wife Paula, his children Ryan Davy and Jessica Davy Dorris, his sister Joyce Kraft and her son William Kraft, step children Shelly Maniaci, Melissa Tarr, and John Maniaci, his grandchildren Madison Maniaci, Peyton Davy, Peighton Bowie, Ben Dorris, Taylor Davy, Kingston Tarr and Haven Tarr.
After high school Jim attended and graduated from Long Beach State before marrying his high school sweetheart Jan Bently in 1971. Jim worked as a Real Estate Agent and then helped launch MCI which eventually became Verizon, his last 11 years were with Placer Title Company. In 1999 Jim married his beloved Paula. Soon after marriage they established their home in West Roseville and their church family, always an important part of their life together, with Bridgeway Christian Church.
Jim had a passion for the outdoors from an early age with his involvement in Boy Scouts, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout as well as being involved in the Tribe of Tahquitz where he served for a time as Chief. He loved hiking, fly fishing, bike riding, kayaking, golfing, shooting, history and working with his hands. He was a very talented man and had a passion for people and never met a stranger. The things he held dearest, however, were those he loved and would do anything for. While we are confident Jim is now with his Creator for eternity he will truly be missed by those that were fortunate enough to share part of their life with him.
