Jacqueline Anne Klug, a beloved mother and cherished friend, passed away suddenly in the hospital after a short illness on February 20, 2024, in Roseville, CA. She was born in Quebec, Canada, on May 24, 1937.
Early in Jacqueline's life, she embarked on a fulfilling career as a nurse, working in remote locations across Canada. It was during this time that she met her ex-husband Rolf Klug in Whitehorse, Canada. Together they raised two children before moving to Anchorage, Alaska. Jacqueline later found her place at Sabena Airlines where she worked diligently for many years. Her career led her to New York after her divorce and eventually to Dallas, Texas, close to her dear friend of many year, Jackie Bailey.
Transitioning into a new chapter of her life, Jacqueline pursued a third career as a French interpreter for Western Union before retiring and relocating to Auburn, CA to be close to her beloved children. In the final years of her life, Jacqueline resided at Carlton Senior Living where she formed lasting friendships with fellow residents and the compassionate staff who cared for her.
Jacqueline will always be remembered for her love of travel and the ocean, as well as her devotion to family and our loving Lord. She exuded love and gratitude in all aspects of her life, showing compassion and kindness to everyone she encountered. Among her proudest accomplishments was the unconditional love she held for her children.
Jacqueline leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be carried on by those who survive her: son Richard Klug and his wife Shellie Cummings; daughter Christine Grmolyes and her husband Michael Grmolyes; step-granddaughter Ange, along with her husband Rory and great-grandchild Elle; step-grandchildren Chelsea, Branden, and Carlos; sister Marcelle Mailloux; as well as all her other brothers and sisters who predeceased her.
In honoring Jacqueline's memory, let us celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the profound impact she had on those around her. She will be deeply missed but forever treasured in our hearts. She is now resting in the loving arms of our God.
Rest in peace, dear Jacqueline Anne Klug.
