JACINTA'S STORY
Cinta or Intang as she was fondly called, was born in Bacoor, Cavite Philippines on August 16, 1931. She was the youngest of 4 children of Justo and Camela Crisologo. She married Bienvenido Pelayo and were blessed with 6 children, Evelyn, Edgardo, Ernida, Myrna, Emelito, but unfortunately the 6th child died at birth. She immigrated to the United States in May 1984. She initially lived in Milpitas, California where she worked for 10 years in an electronic company.
She spent her retirement years going out and attending parties with friends, relatives and acquaintances. She enjoyed playing bingo and slots at the casino. She liked eating her favorite food like crispy noodles, fresh crab as well as drinking boba milk tea.
She loved traveling and had been to New York and Canada. She also was on a couple of cruises to Hawaii and Alaska, but most of all, she loved going back home to her beloved Philippines where her youngest son, Emel, still resides with his family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Edgardo who passed away in July 2008, her husband, Bienvenido in May 2014, son-in-law, Elmer in August 2007, daughter-in-law, Ester in April 2018 and two of her siblings Paz and Atanacio.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, 1 son, 7 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 4 grand dogs, 1 sister and many cherished nephews and nieces.
