Ivan Edward Svenson

Ivan was born in San Francisco on 2/19/1932. He passed to the Lord peacefully on 7/8/2013 at the age of 81. Ivan served 4 years in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He then attended college and received a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for an engineering company in the Bay Area for 40 years, retired and moved to Sun City Roseville in 1996. During his retirement Ivan enjoyed playing golf and loved playing senior Softball. He said he hoped they have senior softball and peanut butter in Heaven.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents Emil and Regina Svenson, brother Alden and son Kirk. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Barbara, son Kris, daughters Nina Hundly (Howard) and Dina (Chuck), grandson Erich Wise (Emily), 3 Great grandchildren, sister Joyce Kelley, bother Gary, nephews, niece and many friends. A committal ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m. on July 18th at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620. a reception will follow at 4:30 pm at Pleasant Grove Community Church, 1730 Pleasant Grove Blvd Roseville, CA 95747 In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a Charity of your choice.
