A prominent figure in his family and a beloved friend to many, Hung Sue Lai passed away on February 8, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Born on February 24, 1964, Hung Sue Lai led a remarkable life filled with dedication, joy, and a zest for living.
Hung Sue was the proud owner and operator of Dixon Haircuts for 35 years, where he not only provided top-notch service but also formed lifelong friendships with his clients. His career was a testament to his hard work and commitment to excellence.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Hung Sue found joy in spending time with his family and friends. From hosting large parties to engaging in competitive ping pong matches or singing karaoke enthusiastically, he cherished every moment spent creating memories with his loved ones. His enthusiasm for hiking, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures reflected his adventurous spirit and curiosity for life.
Those who knew Hung Sue will remember him as a vibrant soul with an infectious energy that lit up any room. He had a fantastic sense of humor and an unparalleled ability to make everyone feel welcomed and included. Whether he was engaging in lively conversations or sharing his own stories, Hung Sue's presence would always bring smiles to those around him.
His proudest achievements were coming to America in his early twenties and building a successful small business while simultaneously caring for his beloved family. Hung Sue's love of life served as an inspiration to all who knew him.
Hung Sue is survived by his devoted wife, Tsun Tze, Lai and loving daughter, Kristy Lai. His memory will forever be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 30, 2024, at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel in Rocklin, CA. The event will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM to honor the remarkable life of Hung Sue Lai.
