Born in Canada, Helen resided in Sacramento most of her life. She married Oscar Anderson in 1940. Helen worked as a PBX Operator during WWII, while Oscar served in the South Pacific. After many years of trying to start a family, their only son, Gary, was born in 1950. Oscar (Bud) and Helen enjoyed 22 years together. Oscar died in a tragic accident in 1962. Helen went to work for the California Almond Growers. She married Albert Human in 1969. They enjoyed over twenty years together before Albert succumbed to Cancer. Helen was a member of Elks Lodge #6 and TERA. She is survived by her son, Gary Anderson, three grandchildren: Kari Walker, Gary and Scott Anderson, two great grandchildren: Brooke and Braden Mathis, as well as two sisters: Nettie Eldred and Augusta Buller. Helen was preceded in death by her brothers, Peter and Abram Giesbrecht, and sisters Tina Smith and Anne Friesen. A celebration of Helen's life will be held on April 13th, 11:00 AM at Heritage Oak Memorial Chapel, 6920 Destiny Dr., Rocklin, CA. Viewing will begin at 10:00 AM and a reception will take place immediately after the service.
