Haven Marie Schauer

January 5, 1974 — October 17, 2019

Haven Marie Kendall was born to Edna Christine Kendall and Alan Lawrence Kendall on January 5th, 1974 in Walnut Creek California. Haven had one sibling, older brother David Eugene Kendall. She grew up in a Christian home in the town of Concord California. She came to know the Lord Jesus as her savior during her early years.

Haven attended Berean Christian high school in Walnut Creek, and it was there she found her love for singing and theater arts. She took part in as many drama productions as she could during her high school years, landing significant parts and in some cases lead roles. Haven's love for singing grew during these years as many of the productions were musicals.

Upon graduating high school, Haven learned that her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. In order to be close to her mom she decided to attend college nearby at Diablo Valley College. After receiving news that her mom's cancer was in remission, Haven decided to attend Simpson University in Redding, California. During her time at Simpson, Haven's mom's cancer returned and she lost her battle with cancer in April of 1995.

In June of 1995, Haven attended a wedding in Auburn California for one of her Simpson University friends. Jim was a friend of the groom, and happened to be in the wedding. Haven and Jim met at the rehearsal dinner, and spent the day of the wedding getting to know one another. Jim and Haven started dating immediately after the wedding, and became engaged in October of that same year.

Jim and Haven were married on June 22nd, 1996 in Concord California and settled in Roseville where the family currently resides. Caleb Alan Schauer was born on August 22nd, 1999, Christine Janae Schauer on September 8th, 2002, and Jaden Reese Schauer on April 12th, 2005.

Haven was a stay at home mom and her passion was for her husband and kids. She was very involved in the kids lives, whether it was volunteering at their school, being a team mom for sports, and being heavily involved in the band program at Woodcreek High School. Haven loved to give to others, and did so throughout life. She showed love to everyone she knew, and was always genuine in her love for others. Haven's other passion was worship music, as she was part of the Creekside worship team for the past 23 years. Haven loved singing praises to our Lord, and enjoyed leading others in worship.

Haven was a blessing to all people she came in contact with, whether it was at home, church, school, sports teams and everywhere else life took them. She is loved so much by her family, and will be deeply missed. We know that she is with our Lord and Savior Jesus right now, and we know we will see her again one day. She will always be in our hearts, and we are forever grateful to God for giving us Haven in our lives, we love her so much and we always will.
