Hattie Ruth Neilson was born in Norphlet, Arkansas on September 9th, 1936 to Emma Lee and John Beamer Wood.
While still a young child the family traveled from Arkansas to settle in California.
Hattie met Jerald Neilson in Richmond, California and they were married in Kerman, California on January 18th, 1953.
JR and Hattie moved to Alaska during their first year of marriage, soon after that they returned to California and
settled in the city of San Jose. Hattie found work there as a elevator operator at the J C Penny's Department store. After
leaving that position she took employment in the data input department at the offices of Santa Clara County. After years
of employment there she was promoted to a traffic court position from which she retired many years later. It was several
years later that JR and Hattie moved to Nampa, Idaho after building their retirement dream home there.
Hattie is survived by her husband Jerald "JR" Neilson, Rocklin, Ca., her sisters Dorothy Franklin, Placerville, Ca., Betty
Jo Cull, Lincoln, Ca., Virginia Boyer, Auburn, Ca. and Martha Nielsen, Fresno, Ca. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Hattie is pre-deceased by two older sisters, Marie Craft , Fresno, Ca. and Maxine Emory, Stockton,Ca.
Hattie was thoughtful, kind and generous with all God had blessed her with. She was a wonderful Wife, Sister, Auntie and
Friend to many, she will be greatly missed by all.
Hattie will be laid to rest in the Neilson plot in Rupert , Idaho.
