GRAEME'S STORY
Graeme was born on January 12, 1962, in Nelson, New Zealand to Donald and Elaine Edmondson.
the age of 21 Graeme made the decision to go on a mission on the Mercy Ship M/V Anastasis where he met Marie Niles. Graeme and Marie's relationship blossomed, and they were married in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 20, 1985. They eventually settled in Sacramento and welcomed son Gabriel and 16 months later daughter Sarah.
Graeme lived in the Sacramento Area for the next 30 years until he passed away unexpectedly on Monday morning, January 31, 2022. He leaves behind his wife, Marie, whom he loved and cherished deeply, his lovely daughter Sarah and her husband Rob, his son Gabe, and his family in Australia: his mother, Elaine, and his brothers John and Robert. Graeme was overjoyed as he anticipated becoming a first-time grandparent to a baby girl this summer. He loved each of them with all his heart.
Graeme will be missed desperately by his family and many friends. A gentle soul full of love, laughter and kindness, he was a devoted man of God. He was an extremely talented artist, and a lovable jokester. His joy for life was contagious, always sharing encouragement, hope, and the beauty of art and the world around him. No one ever wondered if they were loved by Graeme. He was an inspiration to us all.
We are deeply comforted knowing that he is with Jesus, his Lord and Savior. One day we will see Graeme again when we join him in Heaven.
We are asking family and friends to please support Marie during this difficult time of sorrow and transition through a donation to MercyShips.org through which Graeme and Marie met. Your support, prayers, and love are endlessly appreciated.
