Gerald Clark Chehock

Gerald (Jerry) Clark Chehock, 84, of Lincoln, CA, died at his home on September 21, 2019. He was born on September 13, 1935 in Mason City, Iowa to Leland (Dutch) and Leda Chehock.

Gerald is survived by his wife, Gail Chehock; his children, Cindy Alvaro, Kim (Sean) Lokey and Denny Chehock; his grandchildren, Tiffany Alvaro Foster, Mitch Alvaro, Michael Lokey, Beth Lokey, Abby Lokey, and Sarah Lokey; and his great-grandchildren, Khellar Foster and Zeke Alvaro.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Leland and Leda Chehock and his sisters, Kathryn and MaryAnn Chehock.

Gerald graduated in 1953 from Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona. He continued his education at Arizona State University and graduated in June 1957 with a bachelor's degree in accounting.

Gerald joined the Army Reserve after college, then moved to San Francisco, CA and worked at Dorhman's where he met his wife, Gail. He started working at Stanford in 1967 and retired from Stanford in 1992. Gerald was a tax accountant and was semi-retired at the time of his death.

He married his beautiful bride, Gail, on October 8, 1960.

Jerry was an active member of Sierra Baptist Church in Newcastle, CA and recently enjoyed the "5th Sunday" singing at First Baptist Church in Lincoln.

His contagious smile touched many lives. Until his last few weeks, Jerry took great joy in sharing rides with family and friends in his convertible Jaguar, an 80th birthday present from Gail. He also enjoyed reading books by his favorite author, Tom Clancy. He was happiest when surrounded by his family who loved to be with him at their many family get-togethers.
