MY STORY, MY LIFE

Froilina, commonly known as Lyn, was born on October 5th, 1936. She was one of the daughters of Aurora Paulino and Rufino Camitan. At a young age, Lyn developed a strong maternal instinct and became a second mother to her younger siblings, especially once their father passed during World War II. She married our Father, Eduardo and had 5 beautiful children, 8 grand children and 2 great grand children.

Lyn, as she was fondly called, was beautiful both inside and out, being the mother figure towards everyone and anyone she met. She was gifted with a generous heart, and was always the first to lend aid. She enjoyed the simplistic beauty in life: singing, gardening, and above all spending time with her grandchildren. All she cared for was the wellbeing of others, and that was enough for her.

During the later events of her life, she travelled around the world. From the bustling metropolis of Singapore to the famous streets of London, she finally saw the beauty across the oceans. Even while experiencing the floras of places such as Paris, her mind was never too far from her family. Spain and Portugal are the 2 places that captured her heart and was considered her favorite. She never missed a chance to call or visit them when given the chance. She permanently resided in the US in the last 6 years of her life.

Our mother was self-made, with the goal of fulfilling the dreams of her family. A natural entrepreneur, she used her skills to develop her life and the ones she loved, while never straying too far from giving towards others. "Nanay" was her other monicker, meaning "mom" in Filipino. A fitting title for someone like her.

Nanay will always remain in our hearts. We will never forget how wonderful you are .Thank you for everything. Sending hugs and kisses to you. YOU ARE HOME!
