Freda Irene Rasmussen

Freda Irene Rasmussen, a longtime resident of East Sacramento passed away at Woodside care center on June 9, 2013; she was born in Elkhart Kansas on Sept. 8th 1926 to John and Leora Welch. She was the third of four children, including older brother Elmer "Scott" Welch, sister Jeane Warren and younger brother John Welch. Beloved wife of Alfred Rasmussen and much loved mother of Anna Clary, Donna Wahlstrom, Wayne Rasmussen, and Celeste Clavere, all who she greatly cherished. Also survived by grandsons Brian, Tony and Trevor and granddaughter's Jolene and Ingrid and great grandchildren Donovan, Elena, Daniel, and Matthew, all much loved. Freda's smile sense of humor and zest for life will be greatly missed. Also her great attitude and face of adversity set a fine example for all who knew her. A memorial service and gathering of family and friends will be held at 11am on Tue. June 25th, at East Lawn Sierra Hills Memorial Park 5757 Greenback lane, Sacramento. A reception will follow at Heritage Oaks Chapel 6920 Destiny Dr. Rocklin, Ca.
