Francisco Conado Madrio, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, gracefully departed this world on December 13, 2024, in Sacramento, California, leaving behind a legacy woven deeply into the fabric of family and faith. Born on March 9, 1938, in Pintuyan, Philippines, his journey unfolded across continents, shimmering with the brilliance of a life well-lived.
Francisco’s career as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Central Visayan Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Cebu City is a testament to his unwavering commitment to service, leadership, and community. His professional life echoed his personal values, reflecting the goodness and kindness that warmed the hearts of everyone he crossed paths with.
Armed with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce with a Major in Accounting, alongside a Master’s in Business Administration, Francisco’s intellect mirrored his passion for learning, molding him into the distinguished individual he became. He was not just a man of qualifications but a gentle soul who embraced life with a bright smile and an encouraging word.
Beyond the boardroom and daily responsibilities, Francisco found joy in life's simple pleasures. As a violinist, he brought melodies to family gatherings, weaving music into cherished moments. His love for tennis transcended mere sport; it was a way to connect with friends, honoring both competition and camaraderie.
His journey took an unexpected turn on September 13, 2024, when he suffered a massive stroke that would lead him to his temporary resting place. In these final weeks, surrounded by the aura of love and prayer, Francisco's spirit remained graceful, reminding all of us of the beauty of resilience and faith.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Lorna Madrio, whose steadfast presence and love were his guiding light. Their bond, a stronghold of partnership and support through life’s storms, will be forever honored. Francisco is also survived by his beloved children: Ulysses Madrio and his wife Aleneisa Madrio; Noel Madrio and his wife Blesilda Madrio; and Jana Loughry, alongside her husband Mark Loughry, who continue to embody the virtues he instilled in them.
The warmth of his legacy extends into the next generations with his grandchildren: Liana Zelle Loughry Lava and her husband Zachary Lava, Noelle Niña Madrio, Alesis Joy von Tronchin and her husband Jesame von Tronchin, Jeorge Loughry, Jeremy Jim Madrio, and Franc Henry Madrio, each carrying pieces of his wisdom and love in their hearts. Francisco’s legacy further blossoms through the laughter and innocence of his great-granddaughters, Ashira and Amalia von Tronchin.
As family and friends gather to celebrate a life that radiated kindness and challenge constrained societal boundaries, they find solace in the upcoming services. A viewing will be held at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel in Rocklin, CA, on December 20, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life at Granite Bay Hilltop Seventh-day Adventist Church from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Francisco will then be laid to rest during a graveside service at Santa Clara Memorial Park in Lincoln, CA, on December 23, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
Francisco Conado Madrio’s life may have found its end, but the echoes of his kindness, intellect, and love will reverberate through his family for generations to come. In the hearts of those he touched, he remains vibrant, a testament to a life honoring faith, family, and the art of living beautifully.
