Frances L. Murphy

Frances (Frannie) Lorraine Murphy, 82, of Auburn, California, passed away on July 3, 2022, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. Frannie was born on July 27, 1939, to Curan Fernando & Margaret Olive Rochester in Washington D.C., where she was the youngest of nine children.

In May of 1958, Frannie met her husband, Jim, at a roller-skating rink in Alexandria VA.  It was love at first sight - at least it was for Jim – and six months later they were married on November 8, 1958.

Frannie is survived by her husband of 63 years; her daughter, Patti (Fred) Trevino; her three sons, Mike (Dawna) Murphy, Jim (Dale) Murphy, and David (Laura) Murphy; her nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She loved her family and friends deeply, and we take comfort in knowing that Frannie is now at peace surrounded by His divine light.

A funeral service will be held on July 18 at 1 PM at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel, 6920 Destiny Drive, Rocklin, CA 95677.  A viewing for Frannie will take place before the service, starting at 11 AM.  Frannie’s final resting place will be the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, CA. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
