Eunice Elaine Krieger

Eunice Elaine Krieger, age 81, a resident in Eskaton Retirement Community, Roseville, CA passed away in the early hours of Thursday, July 21. 

Eunice was born May 22, 1941 in Monroe, SD to Dick and Dorothy DeHoogh who preceded her in death. 

Deeply missed by her husband Ron of nearly 59 years, sons Greg and his wife, Sharon, Mark and his wife Lori, grandchildren Mitch and his wife Amber, Josh, Elisa, Matt and Katie, great-grandsons, Malachi and Bodhi, her brother Eugene and his wife, Darlene, brother-in-law Larry Krieger and his wife Mary, nephews and nieces; cousins and many, many long-standing and dear friends. 

Eunice grew up in the rural farming community of Monroe, South Dakota.  Her grandparents provided the much needed encouragement in her high school years and college years for her to work and continue college.  She graduated from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD in 1963.  Her devotion to her family always came first and served as a fulltime commitment in the early years. Eventually she returned to her career path in San Francisco with the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise (FIDM) and then managed banks for Wells Fargo. Upon moving back to the Midwest in Denver, Colorado, she founded Krieger & Associates, Inc., where she was an early pioneer in the Long Term Care Insurance Industry.   

Her life was grounded in FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS; thus relationships with God, her family and friends throughout the years were most meaningful to her.  She was passionate about her relationship with God, passionate about her marriage with Ron, passionate in sharing God’s love with others, and passionate about family and friends.
