CELEBRATION OF LIFE

A Celebration of Life to honor Estefana will be held at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel in Rocklin on Saturday, June 19 at 12:00 pm.

ESTEFANA'S STORY
Estefana Carrillo Santos was born in November 1957, Matamoros, Mexico. Estefana moved to California at the age of 16 where she began working in general labor occupations. Estefana was the mother of Leonardo, Cynthia, Christina, Lorena, Mario, and Martha. Due to her life's struggles she decided to stay at home and raise her children and later grandchildren for 31 years.

Estefana was never married, she did find someone special, a partner in 1996, Manuel Cruz. They lived together for 11 years they shared love, laughs and the life's struggles until 2007, when Manuel departed this world to the next.

Estefana was known to family and friends as Fanny and grandma to the little ones. Fanny had a passion for gardening. She loved her plants, talked, and cared for them like they were her babies. Fanny took great pleasure in listening and singing to music. Some of her favorites were Conjunto Primavera, Bukis, Indio, Chelo, Leo Dan and Juan Gabriel. She also loved to dance cumbias. When Fanny sang, her friends would complement her strong and passionate voice.

Fanny was a very patient, loving and creative person that would light up a room with her presence and art crafts. She is also a secret poet, since only she could enjoy her writing.

Estefana was an Independent, strong, and unique woman that left many plans, dreams, and goals unfinished with reconnected family and friends. Fanny was loved by many and will be missed by all.


LA HISTORIA DE ESTEFANIA
Estefana Carrillo Santos nació en Noviembre de 1957, Matamoros, México. Estefana se mudó a California a la edad de 16 años donde comenzó a trabajar en ocupaciones laborales generales. Estefana era la madre de Leonardo, Cynthia, Christina, Lorena, Mario y Martha. Debido a las luchas de su vida, decidió quedarse en casa y criar a sus hijos y luego a sus nietos durante 31 años.

Estefana nunca se casó. Sin embargo, encontró a alguien especial en 1996. Un compañero, Manuel Cruz. Vivieron juntos durante 11 años; compartieron amor, risas y luchas de la vida, hasta 2007, cuando Manuel partió de este mundo al otro.

Estefana era conocida por familiares y amigos como Fanny y abuela por los pequeñitos. Fanny tenía una pasión por la jardinería. Ella amaba a sus plantas, les hablaba y cuidaba como si fueran sus bebés. Fanny disfrutaba mucho escuchar y cantar su música. Algunos de sus artistas favoritos fueron; Conjunto Primavera, Los Bukis, Grupo Yndio, Chelo, Leo Dan y Juan Gabriel. También le encantaba bailar las cumbias. Cuando Fanny cantaba, sus amigos complementaban su fuerte y apasionada voz.

Fanny era una persona muy paciente, cariñosa y creativa que iluminaba una habitación con su presencia y sus manualidades. Ella también era una poeta secreta, ya que solo ella podía disfrutar de su poesía.

Estefana fue una mujer independiente, fuerte y única, que dejó muchos planes, sueños y metas inconclusas con familiares y amigos. Fanny fue amada por muchos y será extrañada por todos.
