Elden Norman Fowler Jr passed away unexpectedly on February 16th 2021, at the age of 77. He is survived by his loving partner Jan Colyer, his two children Terri Caselli and Robert Fowler, his 4 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
Elden was born on December 21st 1943 in Oroville CA to Elden and Grace Fowler he was their only child.
Elden enjoyed life to the fullest, he especially loved the gathering of family and friends around the table with good food prepared he would share stories of the past. He was quite the storyteller, had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved laughter. He was a jack of all trades, from a commercial fisherman, to commercial pilot, professional truck driver, Regional Manager of a trucking company, to then owning his own business before he eventually retired.
Elden enjoyed many passions in life. From boating with family and friends along the rivers and delta, to flying his Fairchild plane up and down the state. He was heavily involved in politics and could often be found in Board of Supervisor meetings or other gatherings. He also enjoyed being out on the course and playing a round of golf. Another passion that he found especially satisfying was his work in genealogy and has spent the last two decades of his life tracing the family name. Truly his life's work. His greatest passion however was his family that he so loved, cherished, and deeply cared for.
Loving partner, caring father and tender-hearted grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed greatly by those luckily enough to have known him; he will live forever in our hearts.
