Devoted to his faith, family, and friends. He loved and cared deeply for both his immediate as well as extended family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Luzvinda, his 4 children (Marion, Antonio, Lisa, and Eric), his 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Served honorably in the U.S. Army and retired at the rank of Master Sargeant after 21 years of service ('56-'77). Served 2 tours in Vietnam ('66-'67 and '70-'71). Awarded the Bronze Star and Meritorious Service award among others.
Retired again in 1998 from the City of Salinas, Public Works Departments after 20 years of service.
His caring and concern extended well beyond his own family through his volunteer work. Memberships included: Lincoln Host Lions Club, Lincoln, CA; Knights of Columbus - St. Joseph Council 9202, Lincoln, CA; American Leion Post 264, Lincoln, CA
His likes/loves included: watching boxing; listening to music; favorite colors - white & dark blue; favorite food - steak; favorite pastime - barbeques; favorite activity - volunteering for Lions Club and Knights of Columbus
Although quiet and reserved in nature he was always willing to share a smile.
