Edgar Poblete was born on July 29, 1966 in Tamuning, Guam. He was raised in Millbrae, CA where he attended St. Dunstan School and graduated from Mills High in 1984. He attended Sacramento State and moved back home to help his parents with the family business.
Edgar lived most of his life in the San Mateo area being a part of the Softball league and becoming a permanent fixture at the 3rd Avenue Sports Bar. He decided to move to Rocklin to be with his immediate family and be able to work closely within the family business.
Edgar was an avid Golden State Warriors fan and a lover of the sport of fishing and camping. His closet and garage can attest to that with endless Warriors gear, endless camping gear and his fishing boat that he loved. He was everyone's biggest cheerleader uplifting all of his close friends and family, giving them advice whenever they needed it. He was the one who brought everyone together whether here in Rocklin, Lake Tahoe, or back in the Bay Area for the joy of closeness and togetherness.
Edgar took care of Mom and Dad. He was always there for them bringing home the groceries, driving them to Tahoe and Reno and even taking them on an Alaskan Cruise. He was the one who always initiated our weekend dinners. "I'm cooking. Come over."
Edgar was the most loving and generous person you would ever meet. He had the Midas touch through his infectious smile and especially with all his Thunder Valley winnings. "Winner!" The happiest moment for Edgar was when the Golden State Warriors won the NBA Championship. He cried with victory for his favorite team.
Now, We cry for him that he is no longer with us in body, but he will be with us in spirit in our hearts forever. Edgar, may you rest in peace with our Loving Father. We love you, always and forever.
