Doris was born on November 26, 1923, in Camden, New Jersey, and was ushered into heaven to be with her heavenly father on December 9, 2022, after a long and full life. Her loving daughter was by her side as she peacefully drifted off to be with the Lord. We rejoice that she is now free from pain but her absence will leave a hole in the hearts of those who loved her.
Doris was a loving mother to her only child, Iva French, and was always there to share her love and support. She was a great seamstress and made lovely clothes for her daughter and herself. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and could often be found creating beautiful handiwork. She was a library assistant at Lassen Junior College for 25 years. She was also a Sunday School teacher for young children for many years and a member of her church choir. Doris was a “good and faithful servant”.
Doris was happily married to the love of her life, Ivor French, for fifty years. What a joy it will be when they meet again. He has been patiently waiting for her for 26 years.
Doris leaves behind her daughter, Iva French; 2 grandchildren and their spouses, Brian and Shelly Craig, Michelle and Rod Lewis; 5 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves behind her 2 step grandchildren who she shared many happy times with, Kelly and Mark Rankin.
Her final resting place, until our lord returns, will be beside her loving husband at the Lassen Memorial Cemetery.
