Donna June Morris

Donna June Morris, 84 1/2, of Sheridan, CA, passed away on January 24, 2015. She had been a resident of Sheridan for the past 48 years.

Donna was born July 10, 1930 in Dupree, South Dakota. She spent her early years in Eagle Butte, South Dakota and later moved to Portland, OR. She became a teacher and taught in a one room schoolhouse in Isabel, SD. This is where she met and married her husband of 40 years, Russell Lee Morris, Sr. They had two sons and moved to CA in 1951 settling in the Sacramento area. As their happy years continued they had three daughters and four more sons.

Donna was a loving wife, wonderful and devoted mother, and caring grandmother and great grandmother. She was an accomplished artist, talented cake decorator, loved square dancing, and a lasting true friend.

Donna is survived by her sons LeRoy and Ronald of Columbia Falls, MOntana. Robert of Sheridan, CA and Russell of Fairfield, CA. Also her daughters Lyla Ozcan and Lorelie Spencer of Sheridan, CA. She is survived by 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Russell Morris, three children, Rusty, Robynn, and Ricky. By her parents Nona and James Barry and her grandparents Blanche and Elmer Porter.
