Donna Marie Glafke

Donna Marie Glafke passed away after a long life at the age of 104 on Friday, June 9, 2023.  After her marriage to Nicholas Rivera (1917-1987), with whom she had two children and four grandchildren, she married Glenn Glafke, who passed away in 1968.  Donna was also preceded in death by her daughter, Judy Rivera and her son, Stephen Glafke.  Donna is survived by her grandchildren, David Smith, Danita Smith Hanski, Steven Smith, and Mark Glafke.  Donna was raised in New Mexico but relocated to California as a young woman and would call the Golden State home for the remainder of her life.   Donna spent the last few years of her life in the company and care of her beloved granddaughter and friend, Danita, at her home in Magalia, California.  

Donna will be laid to rest on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Newcastle Cemetery in Newcastle, CA.

Prior to the burial there will be a recitation of the Holy Rosary, followed by visitation of her body at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel in Rocklin, CA.  A reception with food and beverage to celebrate Donna's life will be held immediately following the graveside service in Roseville.

The schedule for the day of services is as follows:

11:00 am: Recitation of the Holy Rosary at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel

11:20 am-Noon: Visitation of the body at Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel

1:00 pm:  Burial at Newcastle Cemetery

2:00 pm:  Reception (TBD)
